I hope you all enjoyed the surprise snow week we had! It was beautiful and so nice to slow down for a bit, but it is nice to get back to the routine and life in the garden! I missed my little snow bunnies!! ❤️ I have some updates for you and several of them are time sensitive! February will be a busy month for us in the garden, especially now that we have moved the January FHW and 100th day to 2/5! We will celebrate the 100th day of school on February 5th. Please see the link for how you can help. 100th day Supplies: 100th Day of School! (signupgenius.com) I have also attached a letter for you explaining a little more about the project that will be due on 2/5. We will celebrate Groundhog day on 2/2. There is an attached letter with the details included for you. February also brings us our annual QU Wedding! We will be sending more details home about that next week. Until then, the Family Homework Project for February is to make a Valentine Box for your child as well as valentines for the class. Each child has a class roster in their Daisy book with every child's name listed. When you make your child's box- please have their name visible on the box. More information about the box is attached. The boxes are due to school no later than 2/13 as the morning of the 14th will be very busy with the QU wedding. CS Winterfest is 1/31. The information is attached. We have tentatively scheduled our annual field trip to MTSU for 2/8. Once we receive final approval, I will send out the information. However, the snow days have put us a bit behind the 8 ball so please be watching for the school cash link. There will not be as much flex time to take care of the "paperwork/fees" this go around. Our residency candidates will begin tomorrow so I will send more details about that next week. This week we will continue working on adding and subtracting with in 10, writing numbers correctly, number fluency, CVC words, Sight words, digraphs, and blends, and sentence writing. Please make sure you are reading Raz Kids nightly! Thank you all so much for supporting our little kindergarten! 1/6/24 Hello, hello! Thankyou parents for all the love you showed at Christmas!
